Josée Deslandes

Counselling Therapist

Welcome to Full Circle! My name is Josée Deslandes.

It is with joy and passion that I completed my training at the Centre de relation d’aide de Montréal (CRAMMD). After 1250 hours of training over three years of study, I am now a counselling therapist and I offer individual therapy for adults.

The method I use is the creative non-directive approach (CNDA) created by Colette Portelance. This approach places the utmost importance on the relationship between therapist and client. As the therapist, I extend to you my warm welcome, my non-judgmental listening and authentic communication. These will support you to move towards self-acceptance and the development of your full potential. By understanding the way you function and the outcomes of your thoughts and actions, as well as discovering yours needs and your inner resources, I will support you to develop new attitudes and new ways of responding to life challenges.

CNDA is an approach that believes every human being has the full potential to develop and redefine themselves. As such, CNDA offers a safe, non-directive framework within which clients can find and create their own solutions. This approach focuses on what the client is experiencing in the here and now.

As a counselling therapist, I continue to work on my own self awareness and growth. As a member of the Corporation internationale des thérapeutes en relation d’aide et des coachs (CITRAC), an organization that protects the public, I am required to take a minimum of 30 hours of continuing education per year to stay up to date with the CNDA approach. I also receive professional guidance through regular coaching.
